What is the main objective of the Iranian Scholarship Foundation?

The main objective of the Iranian Scholarship Foundation is to ensure that the second generation of Iranians growing up in the US, does not forget Iran, and is proud of its Iranian heritage. We firmly believe that the future of the global Iranian community is in the hands of the next generation. If we support our best and brightest students today, tomorrow their influence will affect millions of Iranians around the world.

برنامۀ کمک تحصیلی برای دانشجویان ِ ممتاز ایرانی، امسال نیز مانند شش سال گذشته با شکوه و گرمی و با جضور دهها ایرانی خوب و علاقمند در هتل سوفیتل در شمال کالیفرنیا در شب ِ 15 آوریل 2007 برگزار شد. دیدار و آشنائی با دهها جوان ِ موفق و باهوش و اکثرا با معدل 4.0، و با ایرانیانی که با دل و جان در پیش برد این هدف والا گام نهاده اند، بسیار غرور آفرین بودو این حقیقت که خوشبختانه هموطنان ِ ما گام بگام به ارزش همیاری و همگامی درسرو سامان دادن به نابسامانیها و

اهمیت ِ کار دست ِ جمعی پی می برند نیز خود باعث دلگرمی و سربلندی بسیاربود .

در ابتدای برنامه، مهدی صفی پوریکی از داوطلبان ِ صدیق و علاقمند که در سمت خزانه دار سالهاست با این سازمان همکاری میکند، بیلان ِِ سالانۀ خرج و دخل را بطور دقیق با طلاع حاضران رسانید. سپس در پی خیر مقدم آزادۀ حریری- نمونۀ یک زن ِ ایرانی پاک نهاد و موسس گشاده دست ِ دریا دل ِ سازمان - برنامۀ رقص زیبائی از طرف رقصندگان ِ هنرمند ِ رقص بشکن اجرا شد. پس از صرف شام هنرمندان شهر ما رامین ذوالفنون با پیانو، حافظِ مدیر زاده با ساکسیفون و امیر عباس اعتماد زاده با ضرب با مو سیقی بسیار زیبا ی ِ سنتی شور و حال ِ دلپذیری آفریدند. آنگاه نوبت به جوانان سر فراز ِ برندۀ این کمکهای تحصیلی رسید که بدرستی نقطۀ اوج این گرد همائی بود. سخنان سنجیده و از صمیم قلب ِ این امیدهای ِ آیندۀ وطنمان اشک بدیدۀ بسیاری آورد؛ قصه های ِ غصه ها و رنج ها و در عین ِ حال موفقیتهای غرور آمیز( نمونۀ سه سخنرانی از این عزیزان را در لینک مجزا همراه با دو مصاحبۀ کوتاه آورده ایم که

پس از حراج ِ موفقیت آمیزچند کالای ارزشمند از جمله تابلوئی بسیار زیبا از پرویزکلانتری نقاش صاحب ِ نام و قطعات با ارزش دیگر نوبت به هادی خرسندی رسید که بدعوت دکتر میلانی برای شرکت افتخاری در این جشن دعوت شده بود که طبعا حسن خطام ِ دلپذیری بود.

Mrs. Azadeh Hariri, Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees:

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Iranian Scholarship Foundation's 2007 Fundraising Gala. Last year, with your support & generosity, raised over $300,000, allowing the committee to increase the total number of scholarship recipients to 35 students. We also set up an emergency fund which provides immediate assistance to qualified students who may suddenly face an unfortunate catastrophic situation.

ISF' mission is to work to ensure Iranian American youth are afforded the opportunity to pursue their academic endeavors. We also seek to give the younger generation a sense of pride in their heritage by establishing the necessary community infrastructure that lets our youth know that their community will always be there to help them reach their dreams $ goals. Other communities have been successful at doing just that and our kids deserve no less.

I would like to share with all of you a famous quote: " One hundred years from now…. It will not matter how much money you had, the sort of house you lived in, or the kind of car you drove, but the world might be a better place because you were important in the life of a child" I believe this quote applies to each one of you who are here tonight & every person who has made a donation to ISF. It only takes supporting one of these bright & intelligent young students to get us one step closer to making this all too often uncertain world a better place for our community's treasured youth.

We, the volunteers at ISF, have no doubt that these students will be a positive influence in our community and throughout our adopted country. I have been very fortunate to have a dynamic team of extremely dedicated committee members who have worked tirelessly to put this program together for you tonight.

Future Goals:

Last year ISF announced a new goal of supporting newly arrived postgraduate students from Iran. ISF's plans to support Iranian postgraduate students arriving from Iran proved to be much more challenging than we had first thought. The cost of supporting each student is around $50K. The task of selecting a few students among many applicants is also not an easy task. ISF has decided to build an endowment for the purpose of supporting postgraduate students. ISF will apply for grants to other foundations and charitable organizations to increase its postgraduate endowment. ISF is looking for individuals who may be able to help with the process. کمک بچنین جوانانی بدون شک خدمت ِ بایران است

خوشا بحال آنانکه میتوانند و از هیج کمکی نیز دریغ نمیکنند. در هر جائی که احتیاجی باشد آنها را می بینید، بی صدا و بی تظاهر می آیند و میروند اما اگر آنها را احیانا بشناسید، آرامش و الوهیت را بدون شک درچهرۀ ملکوتیشان خواهید دید.
